The Union Minister of Education, Dharmendra Pradhan on Friday announced the NIRFcollege rankings. The National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF) which ranks the universities, colleges and research institutes in the country has published the list for 2022.

In the overall standings, three universities from Kerala featured in the top 100. Mahatma Gandhi University, Kottayam grabbed the 51st rank while the University of Kerala, Thiruvananthapuram was placed 52nd. Meanwhile, Cochin University of Science and Technology is in the 69th

Spot. In last year’s rankings, the University of Kerala had scored the highest rank among the universities in Kerala. MG was placed in 31st position then. In the list of best colleges in India, the colleges in Kerala fared impressively with the University College in Thiruvananthapuram.
